Fitness has always been part of my life. However, I all too often viewed sessions in the gym as a chore rather than something to look forward to. The normal routine of trying to get to the gym was just becoming monotonous and when the workouts stop being interesting, it’s all too easy to make excuses about not going.
Fitness training outdoors and Nordic Walking based sessions not only appealed to my love of the outdoors, but also resulted in the best results out of any form of fitness training I have done in the last 25 years. I think it was due to not only wanting to be outdoors, but the support, camaraderie and fun involved with training with a group. My sessions are not just about the fitness, but about buidling a community spirit and supporting each other. I am also passionate about local issues and hold sessions which encompass all aspects of the outdoors including tree walks and other charity walks and initiatives.
In 2011 I started teaching Nordic Walking, I was already a cross country skiier but as soon as I tried Nordic Walking, I was hooked. Some clients found my original outdoor workouts a little too intense and in this respect, Nordic Walking could be ideal if you are new to exercise or want to try something a little gentler, whilst still getting a great workout. For those wanting more of a challenge, I offer Ultimate Nordic Sessions, Ski Fit and Trek Fit. I also have a Nordic Wellbeing session which combines mobility and balance exercises with a gentle walk.

I lead most sessions, but I have three talented team members who work with me. Michelle Laver is a qualified Nordic Walking instructor who leads walks on Fridays and some Mondays. Suzy Hutchins and Julia Rucowski is a qualified Nordic Walking leader who is passionate about the benefits of Nordic Walking.
I passionately believe this form of exercise is effective and rewarding as well as fun and I look forward to sharing this experience with you.
