Hello, I'm Kali!

Hello, I'm Kali. A highly experienced and well travelled chef, trained in New York. My services and experience ranges from cooking for high profile clients and their guests, both in London and abroad. I cater for retreats, dinner parties, day to day cooking and private one to one tuition.

My training and experience allows me to not only provide deliciously interesting meals but those that are nutritionally balanced with the knowledge and ability to cook for different dietary requirements.

My travels and love of different and exciting foods means I can turn my hand to most cuisines. I am constantly looking out for and cooking a range of vibrant, diverse dishes that will surely meet your needs.

If you would like to find out more about my services or plan a menu or event, please get in touch and we can tailor both a menu and an approach to food that suits you.

As well as writing my own recipes and using all my own photography for my blog I have also been published in ‘The Lebanese Kitchen’, by Salma Hage, Phaidon. A beautiful Lebanese cookbook you can look at here (http://uk.phaidon.com/store/food-cook/the-lebanese-kitchen-9780714864808/).

My work has also appeared in The Guardian newspaper, you can look at the article here (http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2013/jan/12/yoga-scotland-highlands-eco-lodge).

About me:

A little history of my cooking. Having always worked with and around food I became increasingly interested in nutrition, and how food works with your body to keep you feeling and looking great.

This interest combined with my love and passion for cooking took me to New York where I trained at the Natural Gourmet Institute. Here I learnt to cook for different dietary requirements and varying eating needs and desires.

Back in London after having worked in restaurants for several years my ambition was to be more creative and work on a more one to one basis with clients. I set up my own business and started cooking freelance as a private chef. Undertaking a diploma in diet and nutrition has meant I am keeping myself informed on how food works with our body.

Growing up with my mother’s Greek Cypriot cooking and my lengthy travels to Australia, Asia, Latin America and Europe meant a wealth of delicious cooking and flavours has influenced me and is reflected in my food and style greatly.

My career has developed with the projects I’ve taken on which is documented in my CV but also on my blog. This I regularly update with pictures of the food I have cooked, recipes and what I have been doing.
