Kundalini yoga enthusiast and teacher.
I had been a yoga student since 2002 before being inspired to become a teacher of kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan in 2011. After an in-depth, lengthy programme I became qualified to teach kundalini yoga in June 2013.
Brought to the West by an Indian man called Yogi Bhajan in the 1960s, kundalini yoga is also known as a Raj (royal) form of yoga, that had been reserved purely for the more privileged few in India. Yogi Bhajan broke this tradition by making it available to all westerners who he felt would need its fast-acting benefits in the current chaotic, demanding, technology-led times as we transition to the heart-led state of the Acquarian age.
This was my first class with Hanna. She was welcoming, explained the exercises well, and was supportive throughout the practice. She is clearly very enthusiastic about Kundalini Yoga and committed to offering a good experience to her students. I look forward to the next class.
I'm a complete beginner and this was my first Kundalini yoga class. It is a small class, which I prefer. Hanna was patient and adjusted the movements to suit our level of ability. I enjoyed the class, felt like I worked my entitle body, inside and out!
