How do I experience with Kazoova?

Sign up with Kazoova, create a fun profile, and upload a profile photo. The more information you complete, the more likely hosts are to accept your reservation requests!

Searching on Kazoova is easy! Just start your search at the Kazoova homepage or in the search bar at the top of every page. Find some listings you like and contact a few hosts. Then keep an eye on your inbox. Make sure to familiarise yourself with the host’s reviews and the cancellation policy of the listing.

When you’re ready, pick a date, then submit a booking request by clicking the Book It button and entering your payment details. Don’t worry, you won’t be charged unless the host confirms your booking, and you can rest assured that your payment is secure with us. Once you have an accepted booking you can view your itinerary and billing receipt from your account.

Don’t forget to review your host once you had your Kazoova Experience. Voicing your opinion is an essential part of building our trusted community.

Who can experience with Kazoova?

Almost anyone can be a guest! It's free to sign up and to search for something exciting and new to experience.

The listings available on the site are as diverse as the hosts who list them, so you can try authentic Indian food, racing car driving lessons, or yoga lessons in the park. The list goes on and on!

Can children experience with Kazoova?

In order to use our site and services, you must be 18 years or older. This means you cannot create an account to experience or host unless you are at least 18 years old.

It is up to each Kazoova host to determine if infants or children are allowed at the activity during the booking. If a host has chosen a family/kid friendly activity, this implies that infants, children, and families are welcome.

You need to disclose the total number of guests accurately when making booking requests, including infants and children. Please clarify the details of your booking, including those who will be travelling with you, with your host via the messaging system on the site before submitting a booking request.

Can I book on behalf of a friend or family member?

Trust and transparency are vital to the Kazoova experience, so we encourage all Kazoova reservations to be booked by someone who is actually going to participate in the listed activity. If you want to give an experience as a gift, try buying a Kazoova gift voucher and let them choose something perfect for themselves!

How do I search for a listing?

How do I contact a host?

You can send messages to hosts on each listing page. Underneath the details about the host there is a blue "Contact Me" button that allows you to write an email message to them. If you have any questions about the activity, you can send the host your query here.

How do I know if the activity is available at the dates and times I want?

On every listing page you will see a calendar. This shows the days and times that the current activity is available. To look at other months, click on the left and right arrows at the top right. To return to today, click on the "today" button. A day where there are available times will be green. A day where the activity is fully booked is shown in red. Clicking on a green day will show you one or more times that you can book. Select the time that you want, and then click the blue "Book it" button to request a booking from the host.

If you can't find the timeslot that you are looking for, try looking on other days or searching for similar listings. You can also contact the host - they may even create a new event just for you if you're lucky.

How should I evaluate a listing?

Contacting hosts on Kazoova using the "Contact Me" button gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you'd like about a listing, and there are also some things you can look at right on the site to help you evaluate listings.

Reviews show you how previous guests evaluated a listing and give you an idea of what to expect from a listing and host. Hosts can only receive reviews from Kazoova guests after they complete their booking and pay, so you can trust they are authentic.

Photos help you evaluate a listing since they are the best way for hosts to showcase their experience.

You can also see a list of everyone attending each event, and check out their profiles and reviews. This way you can feel more comfortable during the activity - you will already know about everyone even before you meet.

How do I view and send messages?

When you are logged in, at the top of every Kazoova window you will see a little envelope. Click on the envelope and you will be able to see your Kazoova Inbox. Here you can read any new messages that you have been sent from hosts and reply to them. You can also delete messages to the Trash folder (and undelete them again if you made a mistake). Moving important messages to the Archive will keep them safe for long term storage.

Should I book if I have not heard back from the host?

The Kazoova booking system means that you can always feel safe booking an activity. If you request a booking and the host does not confirm that booking within 48 hours, your booking will be automatically cancelled at no cost to you. Payment is only taken if the booking is confirmed by the host.

How do I respond to rude or abusive messages?

Please do not respond at all. Forward all abusive mail to us using the Ask a Question link in the help menu at the top of the page and we will investigate. If necessary we will terminate the membership of members who have not followed our terms and conditions and guidelines. Kazoova is a social community built on trust and mutual support. We encourage friendly, calm discussion.

How do I submit a booking request?

Booking is easy! Search for the activity you are interested in. Check out the calendar for the listing to find an available time. Select the time that you want, and then click the blue "Book it" button under the calendar to request a booking from the host. You will be asked for your payment details, but no payment will be taken until the host confirms your request. If the host does not confirm within 48 hours, your booking request is automatically cancelled at no cost to you.

How do I know if a host has accepted my booking request?

The host has 48 hours to respond to your booking request, after you have clicked the blue "Book it" button. If they confirm, then you will be notified by email and you will receive a receipt and message from the host in your Kazoova Inbox. If the host does not confirm within 48 hours, your booking request is automatically cancelled and you will receive notification by email that the booking was not successful.

Why am I sharing the listing with other people?

Many activities involve groups of people, so it is natural for hosts to take bookings from several people for each event. If you are nervous about meeting new people then ask your friends to join you.

One of the great things about Kazoova is that you are never among strangers. Kazoova lists everyone who has booked your event, so you can check them out via their profiles. Make sure you keep checking the listing for your event so that you can see who will be there!

What do I do if the host asks for more money after paying on the site?

All pricing details are included on a listing at the time you submit your booking request. You can verify the amount of your reservation after it’s been accepted on your itinerary or billing receipt.

Some hosts may have additional items for sale during the activity (drinks, souvenirs), but this will be clearly stated on the listing. Note that all off-site transactions are done at your own risk, and Kazoova cannot verify the validity of any transactions made outside our system. Other than that, once your booking is accepted and payment processed, you won't have to pay any more money to your host unless you alter your booking.

If a host asks you for more money after you have already paid on the site and it was not stated in the listing or in any subsequent messages, please contact Kazoova Support using the Ask a Question link in the help menu at the top of the page and we'll contact your host directly.

What to do if the host doesn’t show up?

Sometimes emergencies happen and even the best host may let you down. Your first step should be to try and call the host using the phone number they provided, or email via Kazoova's messaging system. Most hosts will be able to explain what happened and if necessary provide you with a refund. If you have been in touch with them and you are still unhappy with their response then you should contact Kazoova Support using the Ask a Question link in the help menu at the top of the page. We will then get in touch with you both separately and arbitrate the dispute.

How do I alter my booking?

Once booked, you will be able to see details of all activities from the "My Activities" link under your name at the top of the page. Click on the event and you will be able to cancel or amend that booking. Note that you may lose your payment if you cancel outside the cancellation policy for that activity.

What is a cancellation policy?

Every activity has a cancellation policy. Remember to check the policy for your activity carefully, for it determines when you can cancel and still get your money back. Kazoova provides three standard cancellation policies:

  1. Flexible - full refund 24 hours prior to activity, except fees. If you cancel at any time up to 24 hours before the activity is due to begin then you will be refunded your payment, minus fees. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the activity you are not entitled to any refund.
  2. Moderate - full refund 5 days prior to activity, except fees. If you cancel at any time up to 5 days before the activity is due to begin then you will be refunded your payment, minus fees. If you cancel less than 5 days before the activity you are not entitled to any refund.
  3. Strict - 50 percent refund up to one week prior to activity, except fees. If you cancel at any time up to one week before the activity is due to begin then you will be refunded half your payment, minus fees. If you cancel less than one week before the activity you are not entitled to any refund.
  4. Non-refundable - bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once a booking is confirmed, guests are not entitled to any refund and the booking is not transferable to other guests.
