If you’re a Clash fan, you need to take this tour. Surprises around every corner. Aidan is great at
Pointing out all of “the spots”. From squats, to pubs, and old street photo locations. Ladbroke Grove is a cool neighborhood, too, lots to see after the tour, too. Highly recommend.
If you're a fan of The Clash or Joe Strummer you'll love this tour. Takes you to the places he played, lived and even recorded in the 70s. Aidan is local, knowledgable and engaging. You'll certainly learn a bit about the local area too which is surely one of the most iconic in London.
I went on this tour a couple days after Christmas which is sort of a quiet time for the tour. I ended up being the only one for the day, but Aiden talked about the history of the area and shared his experiences with the energy and enthusiasm as if he were taking a full group. Such a decent guy. The tour lasted over a 2 hours and Aidan used the entire time to talk about all sorts of things. I learned a lot of interesting history about the area, not just things related to The Clash/Joe Strummer. It was really a neat tour.
Aiden really knows his stuff. He speaks with passion about a subject he clearly cares about in an area where he comes form
This tour was fantastic! Aidan is incredibly knowledgeable about all things Strummer as well as about the Ladbroke Grove area. He's also funny and irreverent in true punk style!
Aidan might appear a West London geezer straight out of central casting but he's also the real deal. Not only is he a Clash fan like me, but he actually lived, worked and partied in the same haunts as Joe Strummer. His first hand accounts really brought his tour to life. I've been living in the area for 21 years and it was a real treat to learn so many new things, not only about one of my favourite bands, but my own neighbourhood! Highly recommended.
I did this #JoeStrummer tour on 28th July and it was amazing!! From #The101ers to #TheClash and beyond!! A fascinating look at the squats where Joe lived and the venues he played before hitting the big time. This is a ‘must do’ tour for any #PunkRock fan and it lasted almost 3 hours!! You’ll also find out stuff about The Rolling Stones, The Members , Led Zeppelin and Bob Marley:)
