On Saturday 27th pop down to the North End and take part in Changing Places - a bold, fun and inspiring FREE event for the whole family - blending performance, spoken word and facilitation.
10 young people are giving their very first public speech; the floor is theirs and they are taking over the street to tell you about their hopes, dreams and ambitions.
Relax and indulge in some poetry and spoken word performed by Chris Syrus, or take central stage, grab the mic and tell us what rocks your word. Our expert facilitator and performer Tiana Khan will be on hand to run games, ask questions and prompt discussion about things that matter to you.
The place is yours and change is on the agenda! What would you do if you ruled the word?
Changing Places is produced by Time Won’t Wait in collaboration with the Speakers’ Corner Committee Croydon. The project is funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund.
Changing Places is a free event part of Croydon Heritage Festival 2015.
